Opera browser can
open wap sites in
Opera had inbuilt
torrent download manager which is a good
and fast one so you need not have any other torrent manager if u have
opera. To access this feature just click on the download link of a
torrent from opera and opera will pop up a torrent settings window before
you and will download it.
Opera had a
inbuilt pop/web/imap mail client and
also a irc client so u need not have to use outlook or thunderbird if u
have opera. To access this future just click on tools->mail and chat
accounts and configure your account.
Just like in case of
firefox Opera had also advanced and hidden settings which can be
assessed by typing a command in url box which is
opera:config you can also see
many setting regarding configuring bit torrents cache mail box etc
Opera can download
files from file sharing site like rapidshare
much faster than any other browser like internet explorer or
firefox.
Opera
can talk and read for you just select
the text which you want to read and right click on it and select speak
but u need to download voice library which is about 10 mb.
A few tricks in opera:
The speed dial
feature in opera is just like any other book mark feature but will
thumbnails the website stored in it and will be assessable fastly when
compared to any other bookmarks. To use it just click on the click to
add icon and give a web address that all every time when u want to open
da site just click on the thumbnail.
In opera u can
navigate to forward and backward of the webpage u had opened with some
mouse gestures it self .To use this feature just hold ur right click and
move the mouse to right to go forward and to felt side to go back ward.
If you had opened
many tabs in opera and have to turn of ur pc urgently but don’t want to
close the opened tabs then there is a great feature in opera called save
sessions which will help u save all the tabs opened at that time and will
resume them when u want. To save a session just go to file
->sessions->save this session and give a name for that session. To
import a session just go to file->sessions and click on the session
name.
You can zoom a web
page by just pressing + &- buttons on your keyboard.
If you had opened a
page which is wide and you had to scroll horizontally to browse it then
you can go to view tab and select option called fit to width and opera
will fit that page to your browser/screen width.
Opera had inbuilt
site checker to check whether the site opened by you is good or not to
see it just click on the ? box in your
url box.
The tabbed browsing
in opera had many features such as when ever you put your mouse pointer
on the tab it will shows the preview of the page which is opened. Also
if you had opened many tabs and want to close all at a once or all
except one just right click on any of the tab and select the required
option there is no need to close all the tabs one by one.
You can delete all
the cookies/history/internet cache passwords etc at a single mouse click
by going to tools->delete private data option (you can configure it by
clicking on the details button.
If u find any
topic/text informative and want to store it just select it and right
click on it to select add to notes. All the notes that is added is
accessible through tools->notes and u can open that particular webpage
also (form which the notes was saved ) by double-clicking on the notes
in left hand side. U can also manage your notes and create folders in that
place.
